Read Across America Day - March 11, 2020
Pearl Harbor Elementary students celebrated Dr. Seuss and reading on March 11th. Military and PHES Parent volunteers were welcomed into 15 PHES Classrooms to read aloud to students. We appreciate their help in encouraging reading on campus!
Terrible Two Kahoot Finals Video Conference January 10, 2020
On a blustery January afternoon, five schools from across Oahu demonstrated their knowledge of the 2019 Nene Award Winning book, "The Terrible Two." Students from Maemae Elementary, Kaneohe Elementary, Sacred Hearts Academy, Kaimuki Middle, and Pearl Harbor Elementary connected via Google Meet to play a Kahoot Game of 25 questions from the book. In the end, a student from Kaimuki Middle School took first place, second place went to a student from Sacred Hearts, and third place went to a student from Kaneohe Elementary. Our PHES student placed 9th overall and two sixth graders facilitated the game. Congratulations to everyone!
Terrible Two Kahoot Video Conference - November 26 & December 6, 2019
Another Terrible Two Semi Final match was held on December 6th, 2019. Students from Pearl Harbor Elementary, Sacred Hearts Academy, Maemae Elementary, Kaneohe Elementary, and Kaimuki Middle competed in the game with PHES students facilitating the event. The top 15 finishers moved on to the Finals Game. Congratulations!

Brandon Mull Visit - November 8, 2019
On November 8, 2019 Brandon Mull, famous author of the Fablehaven and Dragonwatch children's books spoke to grades 4-6 at an assembly. It is a part of his worldwide tour to promote his newest book, "Dragonwatch: Master of the Phantom Isle." Mr. Mull shared his steps to writing a book and encouraged our students to think creatively.
