Zane is visiting his great-grandma in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hits. He is separated from his family and friends and only has his dog Bandy for protection. He eventually teams up with an older musician and a young girl to find food, shelter, and safety from the hurricane. Together they face danger from rising flood waters, criminals, and private security forces.
